Awana

Here at AWANA we have 70-80 clubbers amongst Cubbies, Sparks and T&T, with new ones nearly every week. Clubbers memorize Scripture and do many good works to earn their uniform and books. Everyone’s hard work shows, as all the teams are earning points like crazy. Lots of stories have been shared with the Sparks and T&T including Ananias & Sapphira, David & Goliath and Pumpkins. They've learned about Gideon. The Cubbies have had lots of fun learning about God and his love.
T&T, Cubbies and Sparks – Oh My!
Awana is split up into three levels:

The Cubbies are preschoolers and, in 2 years, learn approximately 55 memory verses and key truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. |

Sparks is for kindergarten - second graders and has more emphasis on Scripture memory than Cubbies does. In three years, a Sparkie will learn and review 68 verses, many of which cover salvation and key Christian doctrine. |

T&T, short for Truth and Training, is for third - sixth graders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow – today. |
Over 4 years a clubber will learn and review about 310 verses, study dozens of passages from the Old and New Testaments, regularly hear and read the gospel message, discover the Bible’s response to questions like “How does God want me to live my life?”, memorize verses to back up these answers and complete missions projects that help him/her see the world through God’s eyes.
Points? Awards?
Team and individual points, for just showing up, for verses and games, book awards, team awards, Awana store, all these things, but why? At Awana, we enjoy rewarding clubbers for all of the hard work they do. Memorizing all of those verses and completing the projects is no easy task. The team competition encourages the clubbers to work together and cheer each other on. Since team points are awarded for every phase of the club night, every clubber is able to contribute, no matter what their gifts and skills. Using the team points also gives leadership a powerful tool, because points can be awarded or lost based on participation and behavior throughout the whole night!
