About Life Groups
What are Life Groups?
The goal with Life Groups is to facilitate FBC Golden becoming a growing community of believers, who make life application of God’s Word a priority; who love each other in practical ways; who support and encourage each other as we grow in our faith, and who develop an evangelistic heart as we reach out to others. Life Groups help us effectively our mission statement: to “Develop followers of Christ who accurately reflect God to the world.”
How are they different than Life Classes?
Like a coin, there are two sides to the Christian faith—knowing the truth and living out the truth. We want FBC Golden to be known for both, so that's why we came up with both Life Classes and Life Groups. It's not a cut-and-dried distinction, but Life Classes aim to help people grow in the knowledge of the faith while Life Groups aim to help people connect with each other and apply truth to real life.
What will I do in a Life Group?
Pray
You will pray and be prayed for.
Study and apply the Bible
You'll dig into God’s Word and apply it to your life.
Share Life
You will get to know others (often of other ages and ethnic groups) who will enhance your growth as a follower of Jesus.
Serve
You'll serve one another within the Life Group and in the community as you become aware of needs.
